Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM)

Every Door Direct Mail or EDDM is a fairly new program from the US Postal Service.

It’s a very inexpensive way to reach people in the neighborhoods you want. You don’t
need to purchase a mailing list, you don’t have to pay to have the addresses printed
onto your postcards, and you don’t need to pay for first class postage. You simply
choose the areas you want from a map, and the mail carrier drops one in every mailbox
along his or her route.

The savings are HUGE. A first class stamp would cost you 49¢. With EDDM, postage
is only 15.4¢ – about 1/3 of the cost. That means we can design, print and mail your
cards for you for less than the cost of stamps.

49¢ for First Class Stamps  vs.  34¢ for printing and postage
That’s better than buying your stamps and getting your print for free!
